Somatic Bodywork

Therapeutic Massage

 50 McKinstry Rd., Gardiner, NY

My name is Hanna Weare and I’m a Somatic Therapist.  I’ve been doing this work for  over 15 years.

I’ve helped my clients go from having chronic pain and stress to learning to let go of physical and mental blocks -- so that they can go back to doing the activities they love and being the person they want to be.

The AwareBody Process was developed to create a healing space for you to deeply rest, receive support and renew yourself, so that you can let go of old, limiting patterns and beliefs, connect with your resilience and move into your life from a balanced, creative place.

The AwareBody Process is a holistic approach to therapeutic massage and somatic bodywork. I utilize the AwareBody Process to see you, and treat you, as a whole human being.  Understanding and addressing your concerns from the perspective that your body, mind and emotions are interwoven, and mutually interactive, is integral to the therapeutic massage and somatic bodywork I offer.

Massage in New Paltz

You might have heard it said that you are not your pain or illness. I know though, when you aren’t feeling well, it can be hard to feel anything else is happening in your life. It’s easy for your suffering to take over and erode your quality of life.

For a such a long time now you may have been experiencing a sore neck, shoulder, hip, foot or back - left over from an accident, surgery, aging or some other trauma - that you’ve resigned yourself to the pain and limitation.

You may be struggling with a chronic health condition, a stress-related disorder or a life-altering illness. You may be just trying to get through each day, worn down and frustrated, unable to do what you are used to doing.

You may be trying valiantly to remember that life is about so much more than your pain, stress or diagnosis.

If any of this is true for you, I have good news! I can help you reduce the impact your symptoms are having on your life, I can help ease your pain, and help you have a better quality of life.

From a Therapeutic Massage Client:

I had been living for many years in Germany and Japan, when I was transferred to West Point. Throughout my time abroad I received outstanding integrative mind-body healthcare from my massage therapists.  I was concerned, returning to the States, about being able to find such excellent care.

What a delight to find that person, right here in New Paltz, in Hanna Weare. By the end of the first session I knew I was truly fortunate to have found the professional I wanted to help me journey courageously into life after 50.

Extremely skillful and knowledgeable, Hanna cares tenderly for my health.  It is a partnership built on trust.  Hanna has a gift to share and if you find yourself able to have a personal connection with her, your life will be better for it.
